Inspiring People

www.cherihuber.com – Cheri will always have a place in my heart because thanks to her wise words, my awareness about some basic aspects to living awoke in me. From the concepts of Fear to the voices within, Cheri is wise, informative and easy to understand. Read the article by Cheri on Practice Everywhere for a true insight into her powerful guidance and Universal language. This is an extract from the article:

The conditioning we’ve all received, that voice in the head with its endless monologue from its imaginary location outside life, would have us believe that life is too hard, that there’s always something wrong, that loss, lack, and deprivation, if not present currently, are right around the corner, that we must worry and be fearful, that we’re inadequate and failing. But none of that is true. Life is endlessly generous, giving, abundant, and beautiful. Practicing awareness will prove to us that life is never the problem—that voice in the head falsely interpreting life is always the problem. –Cheri Huber

Inspiring Videos

Who can resist a look at TED? I didn’t even know it existed until 1 month ago and now I love checking this website out as much as possible. Some of the TED videos I love:

TED Prize 2011

TED JD Schramm: Break the Silence for suicide survivors

TED Thandie Newton: Embracing otherness, embracing myself

TED Dr Jill Bolte Taylor’s Stroke of Insight

You Tube Inspiring Videos:

I love this Will Smith video: Will Smith Success Story I had no idea Will Smith spoke with such clarity, wisdom, love and passion for life and his willingness to share his insights is intoxicating. He also inspired me to read the Alchemist which helped me realise I do have a dream

2012 Crossing Over: Brilliant video on how we can expand our mind and consciousness to see the world in a positive and exciting way. I loved this video as it helped me grasp how I am part of a great shift occurring in the way we perceive the world and live on Earth.

Inspiring Courses

www.dipa.dhamma.org Vipassana Meditation is one of the most powerful, beautiful and amazing techniques I have tried in my life. It’s not just 10 days of silence, it’s a tool for life.

www.landmarkeducation.com Landmark Education was a massive help to me in the first stage of waking up from my sleepy depression and painful anxiety to realising some home truths. For me Landmark was a wake up call.

www.new-oceans.co.uk New Oceans offer free introductory courses to NLP (Neurolinguistic Programing). 2010 I went on an introduction course running over a weekend set in a beautiful old manner in the heart of Hertfordshire. I found the course extremely interesting, simple, hands-on and it got me intrigued about NLP. If you like Paul and Dee who teach and own New Oceans, then there are plenty of options to take it further. They are clearly passionate about what they do and overall it was a great intro into the field of NLP. I’m not a fan of NLP (this can always change!) so didn’t take it further but I always give these things a chance so was very happy with New Oceans.

Inspiring Articles, Papers, Blogs & Magazines

www.positivenews.org.ukThese guys are brilliant. When I get my coffee from Coffee Plant on Portobello Road, I pick up a copy of Positive News and it really is inspiring. It’s a real demonstration of the positive change happening around us, of inspiring people taking a stand for human well-being and projects having a massive impact on communities. So often on the tube to work I would wonder why people feel the need to only read the news which oozes either negative, disheartening news or boasts about celebrities. We need more awareness on the positive stuff happening out there and in turn create some positive vibes with us…This link takes you to their Positive News on Wellbeing http://positivenews.org.uk/category/wellbeing/

www.stylist.co.ukStylist Magazine is a free weekly magazine which gets handed out in London and I believe at other cities across the UK. The reason I’ve put Stylist on here is because if you’re anything like me, you love to pick up on useful resources around the subject your interested in. What Stylist do really well is offer its readers, both online and in the magazine, free access to plenty of resources on anything to do with women in the working world including business tips and entrepreneur tips.

Be Part of the Shift – I love these guys. I know little of who writes it but both on Facebook and their new website, they offer their readers bursts of inspiring quotes, articles, images, videos and music. The message:

Awaken Your Personal Power and Expand Your Consciousness. You are equipped with everything needed to engage the world of energy and creatively change your life. You simply need to remember how.
